A trip of a lifetime!! Our little family took a trip to Australia from May 25th to June 14th, visiting a number of locations in the eastern part of the country. This page is dedicated to some of the better photos from the trip, with a focus on birds, but other animals and scenery at the bottom of the page.
Birds are listed roughly in taxonomic order. Click on an image chip or the species name to be taken to a page of higher-res photos. It's hard to pick a favorite photo from the trip, but it's probably the one I'm featuring below...an incredibly colored Eastern Rosella, taken near Bellingen, Australia.
Honestly we didn't see all that many animals other than birds. There were glimpses of wallaby and the like when driving, slipping into the brush, but we really didn't see a lot overall. Here's a few:
