Given most of the people in Australia are near the east coast, and given the livestock and control mechanisms to eliminate Dingos, I'm not sure I really expected to see a wild Dingo. But when we were driving in the Atherton Tablelands, we were headed up to the higher elevation tablelands, rounded a corner, and saw a HUGE dead wild boar. And on the backside of it...a feeding Dingo! He gave us a quick stare, and just started running (see 3rd "action photo"). He paused at the back end of the open area...and just stood there staring. I'm sure he was just waiting for us to leave so he could go back to the carcass. He was still standing at the back of the clearing when we continued our drive.
