A crimson so rich that it not only seems impossible to the eye, but it tended to over-saturate the default settings of my camera, and thus I'd lose any detail in the feathering. After some trial and error, and a couple of wonderfully cooperative subjects, I was able to figure it out though and get some photos I really treasure, of one of the most beautiful species on earth. All the photos below are from the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.
