Great Cormorant Photos

Phalacrocorax carbo

The young ones lack the white around the mouth, and if I didn't know otherwise, I'd swear they were the same as our Double-crested Cormorants back in the US. A bigger cormorant (as the name suggests), they were pretty common in many coastal areas, and were even nesting in the parks in Sydney (Centennial Park photos below).
