A species we saw multiple times, Orange-footed Scrubfowl were a great example of how differently birds act if they are, or are not, used to a human presence. On the edge of Port Douglas I ran into a pair that were relatively tame. When we stayed at the Canopy Rainforest Treehouses near Tarzali, they were VERY vocal and I could see them moving about at times, but they were always incredibly shy when they got close to our treehouse.
