I've seen plenty of these guys along the Platte River in Nebraska, certainly a sight every birder should experience at least once. However, my greatest thrill with these guys has been finding pairs of birds with colts (young cranes) in Yellowstone National Park. It's such an intimate sight to come across these big birds tending to their young.
