Black Oystercatcher Pair Photo

This photo of a breeding pair of Black Oystercatcher was taken on June 10th, 2009 by the Sutro Baths area in San Francisco. A pair routinely breeds on the offshore rocks here. On this day, I walked down to the Baths area at low tide, and was lucky enough to catch both of them foraging very close. Photo taken with Canon 50D, 400 5.6L.
