Cordilleran Flycatcher Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite:  In South Dakota, the only place Cordilleran Flycatchers are found is in the Black Hills. I've seen them on occasion, usually on fishing trips in the spring or early summer when you'll see one perched on a tree branch overlooking the water, singing his heart out. The two photos below are from Grace Coolidge Creek in the Black Hills of South Dakota, from June 2008.
