Area #8 in the Lake Thompson Area, Lake Whitewood, just a few miles east of Lake Thompson. This is a long, rocky projection (former road bed?) that's clearly visible from photo location #8. While the amount of rock that's exposed varies greatly as the lake level fluctuates, there are always large numbers of American White Pelicans and Double-crested Cormorant on this feature in the summer.
