This photo of a foraging American Dipper with a beakful of insects was taken on July 1st, 2011 at McDonald Creek in Glacier National Park, Montana. At times he was foraging so close to me that he was too close for my lens to focus...pretty much a rarity for me when shooting birds!! Photo taken with Canon 50D, 400 5.6L.
