An American Dipper swimming in the waters below Roughlock Falls in the Black Hills of South Dakota. This particular individual seemed to prefer this method of foraging...landing in a moderately deeper section of the creek, swimming on the surface, and diving down to the stream bottom periodically. Taken on July 8th, 2008 with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
