From one of our favorite vacation spots, Cannon Beach, Oregon, a photo of a Rufous Hummingbird hanging out on a dreary day. I don't have too many photos like this, with the bird framed against a clean, dark background. In this case, it's because it was a dreary, drippy day, and I used some fill-flash on the bird that resulted in high contrast with the background.
