My Favorite: On a family vacation to Australia in 2019, June 12th, was our last day after 3 marvelous weeks. We weren't supposed to head out until evening, and after traveling back from Cairns to Sydney the night before, my family was very tired. They just wanted to lounge around the hotel until it was time to head for the airport, but figuring I'll never again be in Australia, I decided to deal with the fatigue and walk to Centennial Park in Sydney. I'm so glad I did! It's definitely an urban, well-manicured park, but I ended up finding several species I hadn't yet seen on our trip. That included nesting Great Cormorants, as shown in the pictures below.
