Common Goldeneye Photos

My Favorite: Common Goldeneyes are a pretty common migrant through South Dakota, but it's not a species I've had a heck of a lot of luck photographing. Like all other waterfowl in the state, they're pretty skittish (creatures tend to be skittish of humans if they're always being shot at).  The photo below is from the Missouri River near Pierre, on New Year's Day, 2013.
