My Favorite: Cinnamon Teal are a species that I went 20 years without seeing in South Dakota. We live on the far eastern edge of the state, and they're just not generally found in the eastern half of the state. Then in the spring of 2020 I happened to find 2 within the span of a few days, in the far eastern side of the state. Birding is strange! Alas though, those birds were far off, and the only photos I have are of birds from the western US, including this gorgeous male from Colorado in June of 2018.
