Veery Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite: Veery are found in South Dakota, both east and west. But...they do breed in the Black Hills but in small numbers. In the east, they do migrate through, but in small numbers. They're thus a species I haven't seen all that often in the state, and thus I have a modest collection of photos. My favorite photo is from Newton Hills State Park in spring of 2020.
