My Favorite: I see Bank Swallows a lot more than I photograph Bank Swallows! That's because most of the time when I see them, they are either 1) in flight and damned near impossible to shoot, or 2) are in/around their nesting holes, usually at too great a distance for good photos. Most of the photos below are from a cold May day near Lake Thompson in South Dakota, when swallows of all kinds were "grounded" and not very active in the cold.
