Vesper Sparrow Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite: Vesper Sparrows are a species I see quite a bit, but often it's seeing their trademarked white-edge tail as they fly away as I flush an unseen bird from a grassy patch.  I've been fortunate to get a huge number of sparrow photos over the years, but Vesper Sparrows are a species for which I have fewer photos than most species. My favorite Vesper Sparrow photo is the best look at the bird itself that I have, of a bird on top of a wooden fence post in Coronado National Forest of Arizona, near Tucson.
