Lark Bunting Photos

My Favorite: Lark Buntings are a quite common site in the western half of South Dakota. I live on the far eastern edge, so for me it's at least a 2 1/2 hour drive to get to an area where I could reasonably expect to find them. Despite that, I do have a number of photos of them, but they have been a little camera shy for me over the years. You will notice from the photos below where you're most likely to see a Lark Bunting...sitting on a fence post or a barbed wire fence. The photo below was taken on July 5th, 2020 on the Fort Pierre National Grasslands in South Dakota.
