My Favorite: A ground-loving sparrow species of the Desert Southwest, Abert's Towhee are a species I've seen on multiple occasions on trips to Arizona. However, the only photos I have are from a couple of trips to the absolutely fantastic Gilbert Water Ranch in Phoenix. I've been there several times now and always see these guys, but they do have a tendency to shuffle off under the cover of the surrounding brush, so capturing one out in the open was nice. From December 2018.
