Semipalmated Plover Photos

My Favorite: How do you get a "favorite" photo for a species that is almost always found wandering through the muck and the mud? That doesn't always make for the most appealing photo! I suppose I SHOULD choose a photo that shows them in that muck and mud, as it's true to their preferred foraging habitat. However, I really like the photo below, with the nice side profile, the raised foot as it struts, and the compositional element of the plant behind the bird.
