My favorite Marbled Godwit photo is also one of my favorite photos of all time. It was taken during spring migration in 2020 on the shores of Lake Thompson . I had been camped out in my chair blind on the shoreline, and Marbled Godwits were in full courtship mode, calling and chasing each other through the skies. The bird in the photo below was in hot pursuit of another Marbled Godwit when he flew right in front of my blind. From Lake Thompson, South Dakota on April 23rd, 2020.
