My Favorite: Dunlins are a species I see every spring, but despite being pretty common as migrants, I don't have a huge number of photos. Fortunately the birds that have cooperated have let me get quite close. My favorite from below shows the trademark black belly of a breeding plumaged Dunlin, and I love the "active foraging" pose. From April 2015, at Lake Thompson in South Dakota.
