Cooper's Hawk Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite:  I don't think of Cooper's Hawks as being particularly uncommon. In fact, I see them quite a bit, but most of those sightings are of a fly-over or a quick fly-by.  After all these years I guess I'm surprised when I see I don't really have that many photos of them. My favorite photo isn't ideal as it's a bit long distance, but it seems like most of the time when I see a Cooper's Hawk, it's an immature, and it's nice to get a photo of an adult bird. Taken in October 2015 in Minnehaha County.
