My Favorite: I don't think
of Cooper's Hawks as being particularly uncommon. In fact, I see them quite a
bit, but most of those sightings are of a fly-over or a quick fly-by.
After all these years I guess I'm surprised when I see I don't really have that
many photos of them. My favorite photo isn't ideal as it's a bit long distance,
but it seems like most of the time when I see a Cooper's Hawk, it's an immature,
and it's nice to get a photo of an adult bird. Taken in October 2015 in
Minnehaha County.
