My Favorite: I see Northern Shrike every winter. Not many, but usually a handful. Yet in 20+ years of birding, and all those opportunities, there's only been one Northern Shrike who was even remotely cooperative for the camera. Very glad to get this opportunity to photograph a Northern Shrike, from March 2011 at LaCreek National Wildlife Refuge in South Dakota.
