My Favorite: Black-billed Cuckoos are a species you never go out and expect to find. They're present some years, seemingly absent the next, and nearly always VERY difficult to observe as they skulk in thick vegetation. I've heard them on a number of occasions but seen them much less often, and only have photos from two different occasions. The second of these occasions was at Newton Hills State Park on May 19th, 2019, when I note only got good looks and photos of a Black-billed Cuckoo, but three of his friends were cavorting in the nearby bushes!
