Woodhouse's Scrub Jay Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite: A pretty common find in parts of the interior West, and one that isn't all that difficult to approach.  In and around many national parks, for example, they're pretty used to people and quite tame.  My favorite photo of  the species comes from Mesa Verde National Park, where this guy posed on a nice curved branch on a cloudy day, just before the rains opened up.  From June 2018.
