Gray Kingbird Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite:  One of the wonderful things about traveling is the new birds that you may see. I admit I'd never heard of a Gray Kingbird until we took a vacation on St. John's in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  They certainly acted very similar to the Eastern Kingbirds we have around South Dakota, but the appearance was obviously quite different, with the thick bill and lack of a white band on the tail tip.
