My Favorite: Ash-throated
Flycatchers are a species I've only come across while down in Arizona, although
they're found throughout much of the western United States. They're conspicuous
at times, sitting on prominent perches in the Sonoran Desert habitat. They
are a bit tricky to identify, given the similarity to Brown-crested Flycatchers
and others that often overlap in range. The photo below is of an
Ash-throated Flycatcher in Tucson, Arizona.
