My Favorite: Another one of those underappreciated birds, one that's often common and regularly seen around homes and gardens. We get them quite often at our feeders, although it does seem to me that they're becoming less and less common around here. This photo of a pretty male was taken in the Big Sioux Recreation Area, the state park across the street from our home.
