My Favorite: Ironically in the far eastern part of South Dakota where I live, the only meadowlarks you normally find are Western Meadowlarks. To find the closest reliable Eastern Meadowlarks in the state, I have to drive three hours WEST to the LaCreek National Wildlife Refuge, along the Nebraska border. That's where this photo was taken.
