As I said on my blog, I wouldn't be updating the website or blogging for a few weeks. This is why...we were in Australia for 3 weeks on vacation! Somewhere that was always on our bucket list, and given I hear you only live once, we figured...what the hell? It was an incredible trip, with stays near Sydney...the Blue Mountains...Bellingen/Coffs Harbour...Brisbane...and up in the tropical northeast by Cairns. There were many highlights from the trip from a birding perspective, but it was the variety of colorful parrot species that certainly grabbed a lot of our attention. Here's a Rainbow Lorikeet giving me a nice pose, at a place called the "Promised Land Retreat" near Bellingen.
