Getting to be that time of year! Summer birds are starting to move out, and some that remain don't exactly resemble their spring counterparts! Male Bobolinks certainly do, losing their dapper black-and-white plumage to warm brownish tones that are very similar to the females. Here a late summer Bobolink hangs out on the dewy morning grass, in Lincoln County, South Dakota.
