Summer's in full swing, and that means we're now two months into the constant singing of the Dickcissel. They're quite common around here, so much so that it sometimes seems odd to drive more than a mile on a gravel road WITHOUT hearing the cheery song of a Dickssel. Here one is hanging out in a juniper tree on a beautiful July morning.
