My Favorite: Cute little buggers! Not a species I see around my part of South Dakota (they are found in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where they're typically called a "Pine Squirrel"), but I do run into these cute little guys when I make the 6-hour+ trek up to Sax-Zim Bog in the winter. For little guys, they have quite the attitude! My favorite photo below is of an American Red Squirrel giving his war cry as he leads his species into the battle for world domination.
