The overhead image below shows the walking trails at Dewey Gevik Nature Area. When birding Dewey Gevik, I by far spend most of my time at the blind, or scouting through the wetland habitats around the marsh edges. However, there is a very nice walking trail that goes past the marshy area into some upland grassland. The trail won't get you very close to the water...close enough to see some birds, but not great for someone like me that wants to photograph them. However, the grassland and scattered shrubby areas on the walking trails can be good for typical grassland species.
