Northern Saw-whet Owl

I love these little guys.  The only place I'd ever seen them prior to the winter of 2013/2014 was near the Missouri River in Pierre.  That winter, however, I searched extensively around my part of the state, bush-whacking through dense cedar stands.  I was rewarded by finding at least 7 different owls. I'm actually looking FORWARD to winter now, and more chances to see these cute little guys!  In the meantime as I wait for winter...a drawing.
