Pronghorn Male

This male Pronghorn was feeding alone in a high sagebrush flat above Mammoth Hot Springs on August 8th, 2007.  Gave me a little scare.  It was on a trail marked with a "Bear in area" warning.  I heard some rustling in a large clump of sage when he rose, and was quite thankful it was him rather than a bear, given how close I was.  He was strangely tame, just slowly sauntering away upon my arousing him.  Taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
