Ledge Geyser, Black Growler Steam Vent Area
Another view of the area containing Ledge Geyser, Black Growler steam Vent, Valentine Geyser, Guardian Geyser, and Dark Cavern. This is from the flat part below on the Porcelain Basin, looking up towards the top of the trail. Note all the people standing up at the top. Nice view and all, yes, but...it also shows something about Yellowstone. Yes, the roads are crowded in the summer, but, if you bother to get 100 meters off on a trail, you lose about 99% of the people. Same thing applies here...a lot of people seem to do the overlook of the Porcelain basin, but much, much fewer people actually bother to come down the boardwalk.
