Ledge Geyser Area

Ledge Geyser and several surrounding features, including Black Growler Steam Vent and Valentine Geyser, are clustered near the pathway leading down into the Porcelain Basin.  Ledge Geyser is the largest geyser in the Porcelain Basin (125 foot high eruptions, shooting out at a 40 degree angle), but is very irregular and often dormant.  Valentine Geyser is also irregular and often dormant.  Black Growler Steam Vent is a fumarole, spouting steam at temperatures of up to 280 degrees.
