My Favorite: My favorite photo of the very present and ever common Canada Goose is also one of my favorite photos of all time. It's not that awesome a photo on its own. But...this is the photo that started it all! On December 2nd, 2000 I was very excited to get my first ever SLR camera in the mail, with a HUGE (seemingly at the time) 75-300mm lens. Up until that day I had no real interest in birds. I had never really dabbled in photography. But when the camera arrived, I went out on a cold wintry day, and started shooting the first thing I found...a group of Canada Geese at the gravel pit up the street. For reasons I still don't understand, ever since this moment, my camera has been trained on birds.
