Townsend's Warbler Photo

This photo of a Townsend's Warbler was taken on December 18th, 2008 in San Francisco, California.  I've seen the species both on breeding grounds in Alaska, and on wintering grounds in California.  In summer, the ones I saw were usually quite high in the tree tops.  On this early winter day in San Francisco, they were quite common, and were often feeding low in the bushes or even on the ground occasionally.  Photo taken with Canon 50D, 400 5.6L.
