This photo of a Brown Creeper was taken on November 13th, 2008 at the Big Sioux Recreation Area near Brandon, South Dakota. These guys are dang tough to photograph, given how active they are on the tree trunk. You almost have to catch them at the moment they pause to probe into the bark crevices, like in this photo. Photo taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
