Northern Hawk Owl Photos
Never thought I'd see one of these in my life, much less see 30 of them in 1 1/2 days!! However, that's how many I saw on December 13-14 at Sax-Zim Bog northwest of Duluth, Minnesota. If you can find one that's not at the top of a 40 foot tree, you can get extremely close to them. Every one I came across was extremely tame, and I never caused a single Hawk Owl to flush because of my presence!!
