Long-eared Owl Photo

This photo of a pair of Long-eared Owls was taken on November 23rd, 2007 at the Big Sioux Recreation Area near Brandon, South Dakota.  Not the world's clearest shot of the species, but as opposed to many of my other shots on my website, THIS is how you normally find these guys...buried deep in the vegetation.  And as you can see, they're often quite gregarious.  Photo taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
