Lesser Black-backed Gull Photos

Photography by Terry Sohl

My Favorite: Lesser Black-backed Gulls show up below one or more of the Missouri River dams nearly every fall or winter, but given the closest of those is still 2 hours away, I don't get there all that often. I've seen Lesser Black-backed Gulls on several locations, but photo opportunities have been limited. The photos below show both an adult plumaged bird and a 2nd or 3rd winter plumaged bird below Oahe Dam in November of 2019.
