This photo of a Heermann's Gull was taken on December 18th, 2008 at "Land's End", in the northwestern part of San Francisco, along the coast. Same oil-fouled bird as some of the other photos, really trying to rid itself of the oil with a bath in the freshwater pond at "Sutro Baths", right next to the ocean. Photo taken with Canon 50D, 400 5.6L.
