This photo was taken on December 13th, 2004, at Sax-Zim Bog northwest of Duluth. This one was right at the very southern starting point of McDavitt Road. He was hunting right outside the yard of this old house, and was there again the next day when I went by. Very cool setting with the ice-covered branches in the background, but I wish he'd chosen a better perch than a metal pole! Taken with Canon 300D, 400 5.6L lens.
