My Favorite: Beautiful little
birds, but not a species I've seen very often. You don't find them in my part of
South Dakota, so it takes a western trip for me to have any chance to see them.
I've seen them several times though, in some quite varied locations. I've
seen them in Oregon, California, Glacier National Park...but the photo below is
of a male on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona, in a little mesquite tree.
