Burrowing Owl Photo

This was taken on July 29th, 2007 on the Fort Pierre National Grasslands.  This is how you typically see them in South Dakota...from a bit of a distance, sitting on top of a former prairie dog hole that they've taken over.  Taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L lens.
